Cody Overbeck went 4-5 with two doubles and an RBI, he scored twice. Dom Brown had the night off, Scott Podsednik (who is currently being scouted by the Red Sox) went 2-3 with two RBIs. Scott Elarton had another great start, five innings w/no runs and five hits. His ERA this year is 0.56. Michael Schwimer gave up a run on a homer in an inning and a third, Phillippe Aumont gave up two runs in just a third of an inning of work, while Joe Savery pitched well to earn the save (1.1 innings, 1 hit). Jesse Biddle got rocked, seven runs (four earned) on seven hits in three innings of work. Jim Murphy had the only RBI.
