Double-A: Reading 5, Richmond 3
First off, the Richmond team is called the Flying Squirrels. Epic. Tyler Cloyd got roughed up a little, allowing ten hits and three runs in six innings, but got the win. Tyson Gillies went 2-4 with a triple and an RBI single, Leandro Castro had two RBIs, and Troy Hanzawa continues to have a great start, going 2-3 with a double and a pair of RBIs. His average for the year is .333, hitting out of the eight-hole. Mike Cisco and B.J. Rosenberg both pitched well in relief of Cloyd.
Hi-A: Tampa 6, Clearwater 2
RBIs came from Jim Murphy and Carlos Alonso. Adam Morgan (one of the “Lefties Three” in Clearwater) went six, allowing five runs and striking out six while surrendering eight hits. Not a great night, his ERA now stands at 4.86.
